At first I flipped over this scent. But when I got this second bottle after a few minutes I can't smell it anymore. It has a great smell but then fades so quickly. I use this with the shower gel and even "layering" the scent which is supposed to make it more noticeable seems to not do that much.

Rain falling on cedars...

Though classified as a floral scent Infusion D'Iris is much more sofisticated and unlike anything else you can find in a department store. It has that "small boutique" feel. When I spray the perfume on my body the most recognizable top notes are iris cedar and incense balanced by greenery. The resulting olfactory sensation evokes a memory of being caught in a warm rain in a cedar wood with the ground covered with blooming irises. Warm pleasant and light but long lasting. On occasion I can feel it linger thru the following morning while I undress for a shower.



There is a difference when someone says to you "you smell so good" vs. "your perfume smells so good"... When wearing Infusion D'Iris the first compliment is the one I get most often. The perfume does NOT overwhelm the person. Which is great if you work in a tight environment. Your co-workers will thank you ;o).



The only downside I can think of is that the scent is now gaining in popularity. My consolation is that its prevailing notes do seem to change significantly depending on the individual wearer's body chemistry (unlike Eternity for example which is VERY recognizable regardless on whom it is). It is a light scent that is warm enough to do well in the winter months as well. Enjoy!More detail ...

How old is this? It is used?

At about half the normal price of this perfume I guess it's not that big of a surprise that this is not the same product you might purchase from somewhere else for over $100. For starters the box was not wrapped in cellophane the way a new box of this perfume would be wrapped at a reputable store. The spray nozzle with balloon attached was dirty and tarnished. Moreover it was missing the little plastic tube that goes down into the perfume allowing you to spray it. Finally the perfume had kind of an alcohol smell the way perfume gets when you've had it for too long. I don't think it's worth the $50 (or I now see the price has gone up to $60) for what appears to be old/used perfume. Go somewhere else and pay the extra $50.More detail ...

dismal failure

Prada's Infusion D'Iris is just a phenomenal sexy alluring scent...hence why I ordered the 1.7oz spray for my vanity...AND the offered .27oz "SAMPLE SIZE" for a FEE that was outragrous considering the condition it came to me in. The larger size is perfect. The sample sized one had leaked out 2/3 of the perfume by the time it arrived and had damaged the box and label of the larger one...needless to say I had ordered it for travelling due to the liquid restrictions on aircraft. I travelled and what remained drained out into all of my cosmetics and soaked it's own box and covered my mascara etc..with such a strong scent that I cannot wash it off. Needless to say My purchase of the .27oz size is a size that my Saks rep would have GIVEN TO ME AT NO CHARGEif I had been in Denver prior to my trip...A waste of money AND an expensive cosmetic bag..VERY DISSAPOINTING package flaw and NOT worth the $$ at all

Wonderful fragrance.

I am very much a creature of habit and as a rule hate to deviate from what is my norm. I tried this fragrance after smelling it in an insert in a men's magazine. I instantly loved it. It reminded me of a scent of an elegant barber shop I had once visited in London U.K. Don't stop reading please. It is not a cheap smelling scent; it is Prada after all.



It is a very clean-cut scent that is very masculine and not at all intrusive unlike some musky scents. It is as I stated very clean a perfect finish to a well groomed man. Personal items like colognes etc. are not easy to buy for people as the scent could differ from person to person. I feel confident enough to say that no matter who the man is he will appreciate this scent and make it his own. I can only hope that Prada will never discontinue this fabulous scent. More detail ...

A cedar chapel on a late spring day with bouquets of Iris on the altar....that's this perfume

I'm one of those loyal gals. When I love a perfume I stick to it and only add one to my dresser top (and use) every blue moon. I've used Elizabeth Arden's BLUE GRASS (all purpose day scent) JOY by Patou Chanel 5 L'Air du Temps and Cuban baby violets perfume since I was a teenager. When I discovered Chanel 22 in the nineties I added that as my fave perfume and it continues to be my fave though pricey and hard to find. My newer daytime casual perfume (less favorite than BLUE GRASS but second to that) is Philosophy's INNER GRACE.



This past summer I decided I wanted to try scents (a risky business for me due to asthma/allergies/sensitivities hence my sticking to tried and true). I ended up buying this one after going back three times to test it. I really love the clean fruit mixed with the heady incense sorts of layers. The phrase Prada Infusion d'Iris brings to mind is "holy spring". The incense/woodsy notes makes me think of a timbered cedar chapel and the green and fruity notes make me think of full-blown iris-graced leafy late spring.



This is a lovely scent that starts out really sharp/bright/strong but calms down into something muskish/fresh and light and floral but with sensual underpinnings from that musky/woody/incensey layer. It's not a super long lasting scent but it's beautiful. I love it.



If you don't like the scent of Iris or the sensuality of incense/muskiness this is not for you.



This scent is now a happy member of my dresser glass perfume tray.

Clean fragrance

I love this fragrance. It is considered floral but it is a "clean" floral not sweet al all and can be worn casual or formal. This is one of three fragrances that I wear on a regular basis the other two being Curve and Philosophy Amazing Grace. It's not a heavy scent but is long lasting and stays true through out the day and evening. A lot of perfumes I try do not work well with my body chemistry and seem cloying and overwhelming even when used very sparingly.
